Feeling lost?
Halle- and Hunneberg are two plateau mountains in Västra Götaland, just south of Lake Vänern. The mountains are an Ecopark and part of Sweden’s first UNESCO Global Geopark, located between Trollhättan and Vänersborg. Here, forests, lakes, hiking trails, and cultural history come together - just over an hour from Gothenburg.
Bergagården is the heart of your visit. This is where you’ll find our visitor center with a museum, café, and shop, and it’s also where many trails and experiences begin.

If you are travelling by car
You can drive here from several directions. If you are coming from the east, the road via Flo is convenient, while the entrance via Vargön and Tunhem is suitable if you are arriving from the west or south. Follow the signs for Hunneberg and Bergagården as you approach the area.
If you are travelling by bus
Unfortunately, there is no public transport up to the mountains. However, if you don’t mind walking, you can take a bus to the Karten stop in Vargön.
