What’s the easiest way to get to Halle- & Hunneberg?
Halle- & Hunneberg can be accessed from several directions, but the easiest routes are from Vargön and Tunhem.

When will the restaurant open?
We are planning to open the restaurant in May. Until then, you are welcome to visit our café. There are also other dining options nearby.
What animals can I see in the mountains?
You can find nearly all the animals native to Sweden on the mountains – but most visitors come to see the moose. Curious visitors can also join a beaver safari.
What happens at Rörmossen between March 1 and May 15?
During March and May, birds nest at Rörmossen. To protect the birdlife, entry to Rörmossen is prohibited from March 1 to May 15.
How long are the hiking trails?
The total length of marked trails for hiking is 70 km, but there are both short and long routes. Read more about the answer: Our hiking trails
When is the best time to see moose?
Get up with the dawn or stay awake towards the evening. Moose are most active at dawn and dusk, but at Halle- & Hunneberg, they can be spotted throughout the day.

Ronnums Herrgård is located right at the foot of the mountains, but there are also several pizzerias and restaurants in and around Vargön.

Can I park my caravan by the mountains?
Caravans are not allowed on the mountains, but camping Hunnebergs Gård is located at the base of the mountains.
Is overnight parking allowed?
Yes, it is allowed to stay overnight in the parking area!
Where can I camp?
You can camp in the mountains – just keep in mind that you can only have your tent set up in the same spot for one night. Camping in Randskogreservatet at Halle and Hunneberg, Öjemossen Nature Reserve, and Grinnsjö Nature Reserve is not permitted.
