Zoom through the forest
"True freedom"
Cycling on Halle and Hunneberg is an easy way to get close to nature while covering a good distance. An extensive network of car-free, gravel-surfaced forest roads winds through woodland, past lakes and beautiful views. You set the pace, and the possibilities are many.
There are dedicated mountain bike trails as well as plenty of gravel roads well-suited to regular bikes. The road network makes it easy to put together your own loops, take detours along the way and adjust the length and difficulty to suit how you're feeling.
Along the way you'll pass through beautiful and largely unspoilt nature, with barbecue spots, wind shelters and places that invite you to stop and rest. Many visitors start or finish their ride at Bergagården, where the visitor centre can offer tips on cycling routes – and you can also take the opportunity to visit the museum, café and shop. There is also a very welcoming restaurant on the farm.
Whether you're after a short ride or a full day in the saddle, Halle and Hunneberg offer plenty of room for your own discoveries, peaceful breaks and cycling on your own terms.
Please note that in exceptional cases, some road sections may temporarily have a rougher surface due to maintenance work.
Bike rental
Bikes are available to rent at Bergagården, outside the HalleHunneberg Visitor Centre – both hybrid and mountain bikes. Or bring your own, fill your bike basket with a picnic and some swimming gear, and head out on an adventure.
