There’s a lot to learn here about the history, wildlife, and nature of the mountains—for both adults and children. Embark on a journey of discovery in our interactive exhibition. See animals in their natural habitats, and learn about the mountains’ diverse flora and nature reserves. Here, you can also meet the king of the forest—the moose—and get up close and personal. Use your senses to uncover the moose’s secrets.

You can also join the fossil Grapto on a journey through the mountains’ geological history. Grapto was born 477 million years ago and has plenty of exciting knowledge to share. Smell the rock and trigger your own volcanic eruption. And what’s the story behind the golden nail in the mountain?

Join us on a journey through time and experience the royal hunt that has been taking place since 1351. Halle- & Hunneberg are rich in cultural history. People have lived here since the Stone Age. Immerse yourself in legends and myths about gods, kings, and moose, and discover the gold treasure that has lain hidden at the foot of the mountain for thousands of years. At the eco-park exhibition, in collaboration with the landowner Sveaskog, you’ll find tips on activities and excursion destinations in the mountains.

Café & Shop

Enjoy a delicious fika in our café—we offer coffee and sweets in a cozy setting. Don’t miss our Swedish fika with a soft cookie and coffee for 49 SEK. In our shop, you’ll find products inspired by Swedish nature, such as stuffed animals, jewelry, paintings, souvenirs, and clothing and bags from Haglöfs.

When you shop in the store, café, or visitor center, the proceeds go directly back into the operation and help maintain the trails, picnic areas, wind shelters, and the farm.

Dog-Friendly

Bring your four-legged friend along and enjoy a cozy time together! We always have clean, fresh water for your dog, with a bowl ready outside the visitor center.
