Welcome to a unique nature experience on Hunneberg – in West Sweden’s only eco-park. This is the home of the beaver, the forest’s own engineer. On our guided beaver safaris, you will head out into the evening light to look for tracks, lodges, gnawed trees and, hopefully, the beaver itself.
We offer two different beaver safaris after Midsummer: canoe paddling on Mondays and a wagon tour with a guided walk on Wednesdays. Both tours depart from Besökscenter Destination HalleHunneberg, Bergagården, and take approximately 3–4 hours. Welcome for a canoe ride through Sweden’s only echo park. The beaver rules here!
Beaver Safari by Canoe
Paddle out onto Lake Eldmörjan together with our nature guide and look for Sweden’s finest architects – the beavers. We move quietly across the water while the guide tells you more about the beaver’s life, tracks and impressive building skills.
The tour is suitable for adventurous guests of all ages, but all participants must be able to swim. During the evening, we stop for fika together out in nature.

Beaver Safari by Wagon and Walk
Join us for a peaceful evening tour through the forests of Hunneberg. The tour begins in an open wagon pulled by an ATV, before we continue on foot as we approach the beaver’s habitats.
Our guide will show you tracks, gnawed trees and places where the beaver works and moves around. With a bit of luck, we may see the beaver building, swimming or gliding through the evening light. During the tour, we stop for fika together out in nature.
